Located inside Peneda-Gerês National Park, Lima Escape is the perfect starting point for off road tours in Peneda Geres, including jeep tours, buggy rides and guided mountain adventures in North Portugal.

We are aware that the best way to get to know and to feel all the natural and cultural marvels of the Peneda-Gerês National Park is to experience any of our suggested off-road activities and get to know the park on foot, bike or vehicle.
Next to our Lima Escape Camping & Glamping you will find official and signed hiking trails and you can always request the maps available for you at our reception desk.

You can even book an e-bike, quad-bike, buggy or jeep tour and enjoy the breathtaking views over the protected area of the National Park.

HIKING TRAILS

(official trails of the Peneda-Gerês National Park and municipal trails)

There are a lot of official hiking trails in the Peneda-Geres National Park (PNPG), and you can find maps available at our Reception of Lima Escape Camping & Glamping, or at the official offices called National Park Gates (the closest one to Lima Escape is in Lindoso) and at other regional information centers.

You can download the GPS maps from the ADERE-PG website.

Created in 1971 the National Park of Peneda-Geres, between the Alto Minho and Trás-os-Montes, the Serra da Peneda and Serra do Gerês constitute the only Portuguese protected area that has been classified as a National Park and considered by UNESCO as a World Biosphere Reserve.

It is a world apart, where human activity is harmoniously integrated with nature.

Exploring the national park by hiking the trails is an excellent option for all nature lovers to get direct access to our fabulous & unique landscapes of the Peneda-Gerês.

E-BIKE TOURS

The best way for you to get in touch with this territory and enjoy the best mountain trails is by taking a bike tour! You can observe nature at its best while riding a bike. With the wind gently swifting on your face, breathing forest scents to the tunes of the stream sand rivers. Be surprised by exquisite wildlife and little birds chirping you in company.

QUAD-BIKE TOURS

A great way to explore the whereabouts is on a modern Segway quad-bike (ATV), touring through rural trails to ancient mills, secret ponds and waterfalls and old villages lost in time, right in the middle of the most authentic territory of Portugal. Enjoy the best landscapes and immaculate nature.

This tour is an excellent option for all nature lovers to cruise through fabulous landscapes.
On sunny days, you will see the clear blue sky flirting with the trees and the flowers of our mountains.

On rainy days, you will feel like you are in a natural moving SPA, visiting the twisting slopes while remembering the best moments of your life.

BUGGY TOURS

Join the adventure and discover the best trails in the Peneda-Geres National Park of Arcos de Valdevez – fantastic places you cannot access on any other vehicle. The extended buggy tours of 100, 150 and 180 minutes include passing by the Swing of Mezio, and the Sun Door viewpoint, as well as choosing to experience the sunset.
